The County of Frontenac (County) invites qualified service providers to submit quotations for the SUPPLY AND DELIVERY of: 

ONE (1) 2026 EV Cargo Van 

Requirements of Vehicle

• Vehicle type: New battery-electric cargo van suitable for municipal/commercial fleet use.
• Body style: Cargo van with extended-length body and high-roof configuration, or manufacturer equivalent that provides comparable cargo capacity and interior standing room.
• Gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR): Approximately 9,500 lbs medium-duty class, or equivalent.
• Drive configuration: two-wheel drive or equivalent commercial-duty drivetrain.
• Seating capacity: Two front seats minimum.
• Cargo configuration: No rear passenger seating; enclosed rear cargo area with no cargo-area side windows preferred unless required by manufacturer configuration.
• Side and rear access: Passenger-side sliding door and rear cargo doors with wide-opening capability.
• Battery and propulsion: Factory-installed electric drive system with traction battery suitable for daily fleet operations.
• Charging: Vehicle must be supplied with a mobile charging cord compatible with 120V/240V charging. Supplier must also provide charging specifications including connection type/port standard, Level 1, Level 2, and DC fast-charging capability (if available), estimated charging times for each charging method, maximum charging rate, and any required charging equipment or adapters.
• Safety equipment: Front and side-curtain airbags, reverse alarm, daytime running lamps, and rear-view driver assistance suitable for safe fleet operation.
• Interior features: Front-only climate control, durable cargo flooring, front floor mats, centre console or equivalent storage, and adequate cargo-area lighting.
• Mirrors: Power-adjusting heated exterior mirrors.
• Tires and wheels: Commercial-grade all-season tires and steel wheels, or manufacturer equivalent.
• Warranty and service: Include standard new-vehicle warranty details, battery warranty, and available local service support.

Optional / Preferred Specifications

• Load-area protection package and cargo tie-down provisions.
• Running board or step for side entry.
• Wide rear fold-down step if available OEM.
• Fog lamps or equivalent enhanced visibility features.
• Front overhead shelf, assist handles, and additional interior storage features.
• Heated front seats and driver lumbar support.
• USB and hands-free connectivity.  Apple car-play is the preference due to current corporate communications
• Preferred charging performance: include available fast-charging capability, recommended charging infrastructure, and estimated time to charge from low battery to 80% and to full charge.
