Frontenac County is requesting general contractor submissions for the coordinated replacement of the Roof-Top-Unit (RTU) at 250 Palace Rd, Kingston and refurbishment of the flat roof on which it sits.  The roof is bordered by a steel railing which is to be refurbished along with the addition of a barrier or small, roofed area to protect the RTU from ice and snow falling from the adjacent gabled roof.

• Removal of old RTU

• Supply and installation of a new RTU of equal or higher capacity and performance

• Flat roof refurbishment including but not limited to; removal of old materials, remediation of roof deck, installation of new membrane and flashing

• Existing railing and ladder to be removed and reinstalled to allow for proper membrane installation and anchor sealing

• The existing railing and ladder will be repaired by a certified welder, repainted and reinstalled to current code requirements

• All work to be completed to current industry best practices

• The successful proponent will be required to ensure proper permitting is in place prior to work commencement

• Measurements are for reference only and are to be confirmed by the successful proponent prior to ordering and/or manufacturing of any replacements

• All waste to be removed and disposed of by the successful proponent 

• All materials and staffing are to be compliant with the current Buy Ontario legislation and directives.
